Is The Santa 5K Run a fundraiser?
Yes! 100% of the funds raised from The Santa Run go towards the Meals on Wheels Program in Lonoke and Prairie Counties. We organize this event ourselves (thanks to many volunteer elves). Meals on Wheels is the program that delivers hot meals to home bound senior citizens each weekday.
How do I sign-up?
Pre-event registration is suggested and preferred. Please print the register form at www.lonokecountyseniors.com. Pick up race entry forms at many locations throughout Arkansas. Registration is available at the event location until 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the race.
How much does it cost to participate in the Santa Run?
Event Registration depends on the date. $25.00 ( $30.00 Day Race $30.00)
Are children free under a certain age?
Yes! You do not need to register your child if they are 4 years old or younger.
Do I have to buy a Santa Suit separately?
No! Registration includes a Santa Suit (while supplies last, first 100 entries), race bib and promotional goodies. Suits are available in adult sizes only.
Are the Santa Suits available in children sizes?
No - we are sorry, none are available. Feel free to dress your little runners in any Christmas costume you choose.
Where/when will I pick up my Santa Suit?
Santa suits and event packets can be picked up at the Cabot Sr. Center the day before the race. Santa Suits and event packets will also be available the morning of the event. However, pre-event pick up is highly suggested in order to avoid the lines.
Can someone else pick up my race packet for me?
Yes! They are welcome to pick up your race packet. They will need to show a picture ID in order to pick up your packet.
How do I register a child 4 and under if they are free?
Great question! Kids 4 and under do not need to be officially registered through our registration site. Simply print a copy of the event waiver and have it signed by a parent or legal guardian. Bring the waiver on race day and give it to the registration elf. Please note they will not receive a bib or other Santa Run race items that maybe available.
Can I bring my stroller?
YES! Decorate the stroller in festive décor. For safety reasons, participants with strollers will be requested to allow others to start ahead of them.
A prize for the best decorated “sleigh” will be awarded.
I registered for the The Santa Run, but now I can’t participate. Can I receive a refund?
Since this is a charity event, we cannot issue a refund. If you can’t make it to the run, you can still pick up your packet and Santa costume.
When is the last day I can register?
You can register on the day of the event, however, registration on event day will be more a little more expensive and a Santa suit may not be available in your size. Early registration is encouraged. Registration will officially close 30 minutes before the event begins.
What if I registered to run, but now I would rather walk (or vice versa)?
Once registered, you may choose which event and do not need to notify us if you decide to switch. The 5K Run will start at 9:00 am and the 1M Walk will begin around 9:10 am.
Are pets allowed at The Santa Run?
YES! Please bring your furry friend. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after pets. All furry friends must be on a leash. A prize for the best dressed pet will be awarded.
Where will I be able to park at the Santa Run?
Free Parking! There will be ample parking at the event site. Parking maps will be added soon. The best spots will go first, so come early!
Is Santa Run a timed event?
Yes, we will have a elf timing the runners. However, Santa Run is all about having fun with friends and family while supporting a wonderful cause! You can run, walk, hop or skip if you wish.
Awards will be presented in various categories.
Adverse weather conditions: The organizers have the right to shut down part or all of the event in the event of adverse weather conditions. Since this is a charity event, entry fees and show tickets are non-refundable. If Santa says, Go... then we go!
